Here is cool news for all the people who are waiting for untethered jailbreak for A5 device, now iPhone Dev Team has announced that they are ready to released Corona jailbreak tool to jailbreak iPad 2 and iPhone 4S.
With this Corona Jailbreak tool you can jailbreak your iPad 2 and iPhone 4S, for all other Device there is already Untethered jailbreak available. Corona was developed by Chronic and iPhone Dev Team.
According to iPhone Dev Team Blog:
“Ever since the December release of @pod2g’s “corona” untether for iOS 5.x on A4 and earlier devices, all eyes have been on the attempts to extend it to the A5 devices: the iPhone 4S and iPad2. Due to the combined efforts of @pod2g and members of the iPhone Dev Team and Chronic Dev Team, we’re nearly ready for a general release! All technical hurdles dealing with the underlying technique have been overcome, and it’s now all about making the jailbreak as bug free as possible.”
The supported firmware versions will be:
- iPhone 4S: 5.0 (9A334), 5.0.1 (9A405) and the “other” 5.0.1 (9A406)
- iPad 2: 5.0.1 (9A405)
This was team effort of iPhone Dev team and Chronic Dev team which is also know as “Dream Team” and some how they have made this success jailbreak for A5 device like iPad 2 and iPhone 4S.
“Dream Team” is going to release untethered jailbreak tool Corona as soon as it’s bugs free, currently they are testing this tool on various iPhone 4S and iPad 2.
